Unfortunately I can’t find this one right off, but chronologically it’s the first “remix” I did - Bridges and Rivers by The Chicken Street Band. What follows is a byproduct of that project, though.
Number One - Tophouse
Technically the second remix I did. A great nerdy folk group, no shortage of LotR love at their shows (complete with live readings of passages from The Hobbit). I could hear the remix in my head on the first listen, this is what followed.
Best described internally as “Topsmokers”
Do You Like What I’m Sayin? - J. McFarlane’s Reality Guest
A top notch weird band out of Australia. Henry Rollins played two of their songs on the brief run of “The Cool Quarantine” he did with KCRW back in 2020. Go check ’em out
Balto - Enter the Haggis
Pretty proud of this one, tbh.
This band has meant a lot to me for a long time, it was only fitting to wub one of their tunes.
No More Tears - Ozzy Osbourne
Losing Ozzy hit me harder than I anticipated it would. I hadn’t cried like that since Neil Peart. This one never got finished, but I do like where it went. Maybe I’ll get back to it.
Whatsername - Green Day
This one’s pretty basic compared to the others, they’re all just for fun, but I basically just wanted to hear the tune gamified. I think I succeeded. The back half is pretty fun and dancey.
